Travel and experiences that are enriching and spiritually formative

Travel as an Act of Discipleship

Nature reveals the character and glory of God (Psalm 19:1-6). Culture—what we make of nature—lends itself to human flourishing when done well (Psalm 104:14-15). Guided experiences in both can arrest our attention in unique ways that open us up to God, ourselves, others and the world we live in.

In addition to seeing the sites, engaging history and connecting with local culture, we deepen the experience by connecting what we are seeing and doing with Jesus, the substance of all things.

Join a trip or experience to strengthen your faith, have fun and be more deeply formed.

Overseas Tours

Whether Europe, Egypt, Asia, the Holy Land, or anywhere in between, we can work together to develop a meaningful and enriching experience for your church or group. We also plan trips of our own you can join!

Twin Cities Arts Experiences

Exploring the relationship between Christianity, beauty and art in immersive experiences.

Twin Cities Arts Experiences —

Museum Experience

The Minneapolis Institute of Art has an “encyclopedic” collection that spans the breadth of history and geography. We will see ancient pieces from Rome, like a section of wall from Pompeii, a mosaic tile from a 3rd century church, devotional and secular art from the middle ages, and paintings from household names in more recent times, like Van Gogh.

After a time of sharing and discussion at the cafe, we will enjoy select pieces of art together in the galleries. You will have time to explore the museum on your own afterward if you choose.

Twin Cities Arts Experiences —

Church Art & Architecture Experience

St. George Greek Orthodox Church | 2 hour & Half Day Options

The Orthodox tradition seeks to use beauty to engage all the senses God has given us to cultivate worship. This church is decorated in the 14th century Byzantine style. In addition to touring the art and architecture of the sanctuary, you can extend the experience by including a time of personal prayer and meditation, as well as a Greek meal at the end.

East & West Christian Art | Half Day

After a stop at St. George described above we will then drive along Summit Avenue and take in stunning architecture from historic mansions, including the Governor’s residence, on our way to the Cathedral of St. Paul. We will contrast the Western art of the cathedral with Eastern art at St. George’s, taking time to have our attention directed Godward through the beauty of the space, and view a replica of Michelangelo’s famous sculpture, La Pieta.

The point of travel is not going, but in returning enriched.
